About
Students
Meet the students of FIRST Team 1741 Red Alert Robotics.
Meet Our Team
Red Alert Robotics is driven by a passionate group of high school students from Center Grove High School who come together to design, build, program, and compete with robots. Our students gain real-world experience in engineering, programming, business, marketing, and community outreach — skills that prepare them for college and careers in STEM and beyond.

Team Leadership Structure
Our team is organized into specialized sub-teams, each led by student captains who work together to ensure every aspect of the robot and team operations runs smoothly. This structure gives students the opportunity to develop leadership skills, take ownership of their work, and collaborate across disciplines.

Sub-Teams
Our team is organized into several focused groups, each contributing to the overall success of the robot and the team:
Mechanical
Designs and builds the physical robot — from drivetrain to mechanisms — using CAD, machining, and fabrication.
Programming
Writes the code that brings the robot to life — autonomous routines, driver controls, vision processing, and more.
Business & Marketing
Handles sponsorships, branding, social media, award submissions, and team communications.
Awards & Outreach
Leads community outreach initiatives, STEM education programs, and prepares submissions for FIRST awards including Chairman's/Impact Award.
Design & CAD
Creates detailed 3D models and technical drawings of every robot component using professional CAD software.
Safety
Ensures a safe working environment in the shop and at competitions. Manages safety training, PPE, and safety documentation.
Join the Team
