2007 · Rack 'n Roll

Mantis

Built to lift and place inner tubes on racks with a gripping claw.

The Game

The goal of Rack ’n Roll was to take inner-tube shaped game pieces and place them onto an octagonal centerpiece in the middle of the field. The centerpiece was placed in a random position to increase the difficulty of the autonomous period. In the end game, all of the rules remained the same, except that robots could not enter their opponent’s zone.

The Robot

Mantis could lift and place inner tubes on racks with a claw used to grip the inner tubes. The team attended the Wisconsin Regional and the Boilermaker Regional during the 2007 season.
