Otariinae was Red Alert’s robot for the 2018 FRC season, FIRST Power Up. This retro arcade-themed game challenged robots to place power cubes on large balancing scales, control switches, and climb a vertical scale at the end of the match.
Named after the subfamily Otariinae (eared seals), this robot reflected the team’s creativity both in engineering and naming conventions.
